Atmig

Atmig is an indie-rock band in my home state of Michigan. We worked together to create stunning concept images for press and their album art. We had two photo shoots, one creative session in Detroit and a documentary style during the recording of one of their music videos.

Brand Images

After a session brainstorm meeting, Atmig “After The Money Is Gone” members and I met in Detroit on a cold January day to bring the concept to life for their album Wishes. The band dressed in white with gold, which looked both glam and distressed. It played well to a contrast of money and art. The session was to include children making wishes at a fountain with gold coins. The original image idea was captured but along the way, I was able to capture an image that just spoke to their concept in a way that it became the cover of the album over the original plan. That can be the exciting part of creative partnerships, when the magic just happens.

Previous to the branding session, I was able to connect with the band during their filming of their music video for their single, “Trip” and capture some behind the scenes images that were used for posters to promote the single.

On a personal note, working with this band began my trajectory of creating stories for brands. I fell in love with collaborating, the process, and seeing the fruits of the labor help propel endeavors into a spotlight, telling a story that grabs attention.
